PRIMARY WAVE
With an innate passion for music, my internship at Primary Wave Music Publishing introduced me to the powerful intersection of music and graphic design. I had the opportunity to contribute to projects for some of the most iconic artists of the past decade — including Bing Crosby, Luther Vandross, and the Village People — and even collaborated directly with the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs.
Below is a selection of my work:
LUTHER VANDROSS
I was tasked with designing a tour t-shirt inspired by Luther Vandross’ The Night I Fell In Love album artwork — without using his image. I pulled inspiration from the album's original fonts, color palette, and mood to create a retro-inspired design that worked across both dark and light shirts. The back featured the full tour schedule in a cohesive layout.

BING CROSBY CLAMBAKE SUMMER BEER
These cans were designed for Bing Crosby Clambake Summer Beer, a seasonal brew celebrating Bing’s iconic golf tournament and summer clambake tradition. The design features a vintage black-and-white photo, playful coastal elements, and a clambake recipe on the back.
PRIMARY RAIN PLAYLIST COVER
I created the cover art for Primary Rain, a rainy day playlist curated by Primary Wave. The design captures a moody, reflective vibe while staying on-brand, using soft textures and minimalist typography to stand out in Spotify’s compact layout.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH AD
This creative celebrated Black History Month by honoring the legendary Black singers and songwriters in the Primary Wave catalog. The design highlighted their cultural impact through bold visuals and thoughtful messaging that paid tribute to their lasting legacy in music.
LUTHER VANDROSS FOUNDATION: GRAMMY HALL OF FAME
I created this ad for the Recording Academy’s program book in celebration of Luther Vandross’ Grammy recognition. Sponsored by the Luther Vandross Foundation, the piece honors Luther’s timeless contributions to music and his lasting influence on the industry. Special thanks to Brenda Shields and the Luther Vandross Foundation for their continued support.
Below are the three design options I created for this tribute.
